Our Professional Standards & Your Rights

From 1 July 2025, updated professional standards apply to all registered tax practitioners under the Tax Agent Services Act 2009 and the Code of Professional Conduct administered by the Tax Practitioners Board (TPB).

At Super Smart SMSF, we are committed to meeting and upholding these standards.

Can Check Our Registration

You can verify the registration details of any registered tax practitioner via the TPB public register.

This register allows you to:

  • Confirm registration status

  • View relevant qualifications

  • Check any conditions imposed on registration

  • View any disciplinary history (if applicable)

We welcome transparency and encourage clients to verify registration details if they wish.

 

If You Have a Concern

We’re committed to providing professional, ethical and compliant SMSF and tax services.

If you ever have a concern about our services:

  1. Please contact us directly in the first instance so we can work towards resolving the matter promptly and professionally.

  2. If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you may lodge a complaint with the Tax Practitioners Board.

The TPB’s complaints process exists to protect consumers and uphold professional standards within the tax profession.

  • Maintain professional indemnity insurance as required under the TPB registration framework

 

Your Responsibilities as a Client

To enable us to provide services effectively and compliantly, you agree to:

  • Provide complete, accurate and timely information

  • Inform us of relevant changes affecting your SMSF or tax affairs

  • Retain supporting documentation as required under taxation law

  • Review documents and confirm accuracy before signing or authorising lodgement

  • Our advice is based on the information you provide. Inaccurate or incomplete information may affect outcomes.

 

Prescribed Events Disclosure

As at the date of publication of this statement:

We confirm that there are no prescribed events or matters affecting our registration that we are required to disclose under the Tax Agent Services (Code of Professional Conduct) Determination 2024.

If this position changes, we are required by law to inform clients accordingly.
